Christian Martin, born on December 17, 1954, graduated from the French Institute of Photography in 1972. After assisting at Studio Carnot, he began selling paintings in Place du Tertre and in the USA.
In 1979, he became Francis Giacobetti’s assistant and collaborated with Lui magazine starting in 1980, where he took charge of the automotive section. He has worked with magazines such as Elle, Auto Journal, Newlook, VSD, L’Équipe Mag, Gala, Vélo Mag, Jeune & Jolie, Sport Auto, Auto Plus, Automobiles Classiques, Rétroviseur, Auto-Rétro…
He also worked for manufacturers such as Peugeot-Citroën, Audi, Opel, and BMW. Christian Martin is the author of about ten books dedicated to his passion for
automobiles.
